About Camera Test
Camera Test is a pre-call check: a couple of minutes to find out whether people will see you, hear you, and whether you will hear them.
Why it exists
Most call problems are noticed by the other side first: a dark picture, a muffled voice, a headset that plays in one ear. These pages let you catch them before you join, with a plain verdict and the readings behind it.
How the tests decide
Each check compares what the browser reports with simple thresholds — frames per second, background noise in dBFS, which ear a cue reached — and calls the result fine, worth a look or a problem, with the usual fix. When a browser cannot see something, such as how loud your room really is, the page says so instead of guessing.
